Governor Kathy Hochul says New York State is preparing guidance after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave final approval for COVID-19 vaccines in children under 5.
Federal officials gave approval to Moderna and Pfizer vaccines in kids between 6-months and 5-years old.
It was the final group awaiting approval.
“Parents & guardians, talk to your pediatrician & make a plan to get your child vaccinated,” Gov. Hochul said.
This is fantastic news! We've been patiently waiting for the opportunity to protect our young residents & @HealthNYGov is preparing guidance so we can get shots in arms as soon as possible.
