A familiar face will be returning to the Syracuse Crunch next season.
The Tampa Bay Lightning announced Monday that the team has signed forward Simon Ryfors to a one-year, two-way contract. This means he will be eligible to play for both Syracuse and Tampa Bay.
Ryfors played in 72 games during the regular season for the Crunch. The 24-year-old scored 11 goals and notched 35 points. He also appeared in five Calder Cup Playoff games with Syracuse and registered a goal and an assist.
Ryfors originally signed with the Lightning organization on May 12, 2021.
