Mountain View, California has extended their UBI pilot for another year.
This announcement came after the city received a $100,000 grant from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

Who is eligible?
The UBI program in Mountain View, California is known as Elevate MV. The program provides monthly payments to residents earning at or below 30% of the Area Median Income with one or more children under the age of 18.
For a family of three, that means an annual income of $44,750 is considered qualifying.
This time, 166 eligible applicants will be randomly picked to receive payments of $500 on a monthly basis for a year.
Applications are expected to open in mid-to-late summer, according to the city.
