Thompson hosting information sessions on becoming a CNA

UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting information sessions for community members interested in beginning careers as certified nursing assistants (CNAs).

In partnership with Finger Lakes Community College, Thompson offers a five-week CNA training course. Thompson covers the full tuition, and participants receive payment while taking the class. They are hired into a CNA position at Thompson’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, where they are expected to remain employed – in a full- or part-time position – for at least one year from certification.

The one-hour information sessions will be held in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at the back of F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua on the following dates:

  • Thursday, June 23, from 4 to 5 p.m. (RSVP by June 19)
  • Thursday, July 7, from 4 to 5 p.m. (RSVP by July 3)

To RSVP, email [email protected]. On the date of the information session, enter the campus from West Street to park in the lot behind the hospital.
