Police arrested a man in Penn Yan following a complaint at a local business.
According to a news release, the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Ray C. Ryan, 47, for driving while intoxicated and other violations.
It is alleged that Ryan drove away from a local business and it was reported that he appeared intoxicated. Officer’s located Ryan’s vehicle on Horizon Park Drive and a traffic stop was initiated. Officers placed Ryan through a series of standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was transported to the Yates County Jail where he submitted a chemical test that revealed a .21% BAC.
Ryan is due to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer charges.
