Woman steals $19K in benefits from Ontario County

A North Chili woman was arrested following a fraud investigation.

According to a news release, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested Imani Haskell, 26, of North Chili for grand larceny.


Haskell had applied and obtained SNAP benefits and child care from Ontario County despite not being a resident of the county. She fraudulently obtained $5,751 in SNAP benefits and $13,489 in child care benefits from December 2019 to November 2020. 

Haskell will answer the charges in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
