The New York Mets made a couple of roster moves before Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels.
The team placed reliever Colin Holderman on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder impingement. The move is retroactive to June 8.
Reliever Jake Reed was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to take Holderman’s spot on the 26-man roster.
Holderman has a 3.18 ERA, 30.4% strikeout rate, and 8.7% walk rate in his first 11 1/3 innings with New York this season.
Reed has tossed three shutout innings with the Mets this season.
