The New York Mets made a couple of roster moves before Friday’s series opener against the Los Angeles Angels.
The team reinstated Tylor Megill from the 15-day injured list and optioned Stephen Nogosek to Triple-A Syracuse.
Megill is expected to start Friday’s game, which will be his first start since May 11. The right-hander was dealing with right biceps inflammation. Megill is 4-2 with a 4.41 ERA over 34 2/3 innings this season.
Nogosek has appeared in seven games with New York this season, posting a 3.55 ERA over 12 2/3 innings.
