The start of the pandemic caused many issues, including supply and demand issues with retailers like Walmart and Target.
Factories throughout the country were shut down due to the pandemic spreading.
This caused whatever products that were being made to cease.
Now, things are getting back to normal, and major retailers that were once low on inventory are finding themselves with too much.
Target: 7 must-haves that are always a bargain
Target and Walmart have too much inventory, and now they need to get rid of it
The excess product has led many retailers to selling things at a discounted price.
Target shared on June 7 that they’ll be doing additional markdowns on the already low priced clearance rack.
Due to a dip in sales, the corporation is trying to get rid of a large amount of inventory and focus on essentials.
This includes groceries, household products, back to school items and beauty products.
Walmart has faced the same issues, and plans to get their inventory under control as well.
There are currently 10,000 rollbacks according to Yahoo Finance.
