Demdaco is recalling 56,200 of their microwavable bowl holders due to a possible fire hazard.

The company Demdaco is having a recall for their microwavable bowl holders.

An article by the Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the fabric the holders are made from can char after being microwaved, posing a fire hazard.

The affected products are the brands holders that were made from linen fabric and cotton.

They were sold in 27 different designs and two sizes, small and large.

The large is 8 inches square and the small size is 6.5 inches square.

There are 56,200 microwave bowl holders affected by this alert.

They were sold in pharmacies, drug stores, hardware stores, drug stores, and gift shops nationwide.

They were also sold online at the following websites


All products were sold from June 2020 through March 2022.

So far there have been three reports of these holders catching fire but there have been no reported injuries.

If you have purchased one of these recalled items you can either contact the company for a refund or return it to the store of purchase.
