State police recover firearms, ammunition, and ghost guns during narcotics investigation: Corning man faces several charges

State police say several firearms and ammunition were recovered after a search warrant was executed in the town of Corning.

The search was part of a narcotics trafficking investigation.

According to a news release, the target of the investigation was 27-year-old Kendrick Buchanan, of Corning. He was placed under arrest without incident.


During his arrest police seized a loaded 9mm ghost gun with magazine, approximately 3 ounces of methamphetamine, morphine pills, narcotics packaging materials, and $470 in cash.

During the search at his home- state police recovered a 9mm ghost gun, .45 caliber handgun, Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, Mossberg 22 caliber rifle, several firearm parts and pieces, caliber magazines, metal knuckles, and additional methamphetamine.

Buchanan was arrested for numerous criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance charges and was remanded to Steuben County Jail to await arraignment.
