Taijuan Walker started on the mound for the Mets and allowed a pair of runs over 5.2 innings. Colin Holderman and Chasen Shreve each had scoreless outings in relief.
Mookie Betts and Justin Turner drove in the Dodgers runs, while Tony Gonsolin tossed six shutout innings.
Game two of the four-game series is set for Friday at 10:10 p.m.
