Police arrested a Canandaigua man following a welfare call at the D&D Motel.
According to a news release, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department arrested Davionne X. Williams, 19, of Canandaigua for endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Williams allegedly left both of his children unattended in their motel room while he went to the laundromat. Both children are both under the age of two-years-old and unable to care for themselves. Deputies also discovered Williams to be in possession of illegal narcotic pills. Child Protective Services were contacted and an investigation was opened.
Williams will answer charges in the Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
