Syracuse Mets drop sixth straight with loss to Worcester

The Syracuse Mets dropped their sixth straight game on Wednesday afternoon with a 6-5 loss to the Worcester Red Sox at Polar Park.

Thomas Szapucki started on the mound for Syracuse and allowed a pair of runs over four innings. Tim Adleman surrendered four runs in relief, but just one was earned. Bryce Montes de Oca and Michel Otañez made their Triple-A debuts, and each tossed a scoreless inning.


Khalil Lee, Nick Meyer, JT Riddle, Travis Blankenhorn, and Cody Bohanek each collected an RBI. Lee, Meyer, and Blankenhorn also had two-hit games.

The two teams will continue the six-game series on Thursday night. The first pitch is slated for 6:45 p.m.
