Rochester Red Wings fall to Bisons in series opener

The Rochester Red Wings fell to the Buffalo Bisons, 7-5, in the first game of a six-game series on Monday evening at Frontier Field.

Cory Abbott made the start for Rochester and allowed six runs over 2.1 innings. Carson Tell allowed a run in relief, while Jefry Rodriguez, Jace Fry, Patrick Murphy, Alberto Baldonado, and Matt Cronin had scoreless outings.


Andrew Stevenson led the Red Wings’ offense with two hits and two RBIs. Luis García, Jake Noll, and Donovan Casey also drove in runs.

Rochester will get the day off on Tuesday before they try to bounce back on Wednesday night. The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
