Investigators and Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Pennsylvania woman after a larceny investigation.
According to a news release, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessica A. Bennett, 29, of Pennsylvania for petit larceny and misuse of food stamps.
It is alleged that on November 20, Bennett used another person’s benefit card issued by the Steuben County Department of Social Services. As a result, Bennett obtained benefits which she was not entitled to nor authorized to receive. Bennett turned herself in after the airing of her warrant on Twin Tiers Most Wanted.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Steuben County Department of Social Services Fraud and Legal Affairs Unit and the District Attorney’s Office.
