This program would give households making $80,000 or less a direct stimulus payment of up to $2,000.

There is currently $2 billion in federal funding that must be used by the state of Pennsylvania by Dec. 31, 2024.

It will be sent back to the federal government if it’s not used by that date.

The stimulus payments would be made under the previously mentioned program, PA Opportunity Program.

This will help offset the financial burden many residents are facing due to inflation.

Wolf stated that Pennsylvania residents needs support now more than ever as inflation continues and gas costs rise.

The payments could help increase household income for those still recovering from pandemic related expenses.

Stimulus funds would also help families pay for childcare and bills.

Wolf has stated that residents should not be forced to choose between paying for childcare, gas, or food for their families.
