The Geneva Panthers and the Newark-Midlakes Reds faced off in the Girls Class C Semifinals at Tom Coughlin Stadium in Waterloo. The Panthers came out victorious by a score of 14-6.
The Panthers struck first, with a marker from Mikayla Myer that was assisted by Allyson Bucklin. The Panthers would race out to a 5-0 lead with 15:47 remaining in the first half. The Reds would answer minutes later with a goal from Malia Brown. However, the Panthers would take a 6-4 lead to halftime.
In the second half, the Panthers took full control, winning the second frame by a score of 9-2. With the win, the Panthers secure a spot in the Class C Finals where they will take on Honeoye Falls-Lima. That game will be played at East Rochester on Tuesday, May 31st. The Newark-Midlakes Reds finish their season at 8-10.
