Moderne Glass Company is having a recall on some of their coffee cups.
An article by the Consumer Product Safety Commission says that these cups can break or crack when hot water is poured into them.
This could cause the water to spill and burn whoever is holding the cup.
These cups have a black outside and a white inside.
The exact cup being recalled and its model number are listed below
- Moderne Glass Company 15-ounce coffee cups – 71500-White
There are about 2,500 cups included in this recall.
They were sold online at www.glassamerica.com.
The cups were sold from February 2021 through 2022.
As of right now, there have been six reported cases of the cups cracking when hot water was poured into them.
There have been no reported cases of injuries.
If you have purchased one of these defective cups stop use immediately.
Customers should contact Moderne Glass for a refund.
The company is working to contact all known buyers.
