Amerks fall to Rocket in Game 2 of North Division Finals

The Rochester Americans fell to the Laval Rocket, 3-1, in Game 2 of the best-of-five North Division Finals on Monday night at Place Bell Arena.

Laval is now one victory away from the Eastern Conference Finals as the series shifts to Rochester.

Mark Jankowski scored the lone goal for the Amerks while Aaron Dell stopped 29-of-32 shots.


Brandon Gignac, Louie Belpedio, and Lucas Condotta tallied for Laval while Cayden Primeau turned aside 31-of-32 shots.

Rochester finished 0-for-4 on the power play and a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

Game 3 is set for Wednesday night at the Blue Cross Arena. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m.
