Three people have been arrested in connection with an ongoing assault and robbery investigation that occurred in the village of Newark on May 12.
According to a news release from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Jordan Drechsler, 18, of Newark, Thomas Eaves, 18, of Geneva, and two juveniles- one from Rochester- and another from Canandaigua, worked together to assault and rob a juvenile.
Drechsler is accused of filming the incident on his cell phone as Thomas Eaves and the two juveniles attacked the victim. While the victim laid on the ground- the suspects stole his shoes and cell phone.
Drechsler was charged with conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on appearance tickets.
An arrest warrant was issued for the arrest of Eaves, who will face charges of robbery, conspiracy, assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and petit larceny.
The two juveniles have also been arrested in connection with the incident- being charged with robbery, conspiracy, and assault.
All will appear in court at a later date to answer the charges.
