The Rochester Red Wings dropped their second straight game to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs with a 3-1 loss on Wednesday night at Frontier Field.
Left-hander Logan Verrett got the start for Rochester and surrendered three runs on six hits over 5.2 innings while walking four and striking out three. Alberto Baldonado and Tyler Clippard had scoreless outings in relief.
The Red Wings’ only run of the game came in the seventh when Andrew Stevenson smoked an RBI single to left.
Lehigh Valley scored all three of their runs in the third on Darick Hall’s three-run home run to right-center.
Lucius Fox had three of Rochester’s five hits.
The two teams will be right back at it on Thursday morning. The first pitch is slated for 11:05 p.m.
