The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office released information today regarding three suspects believed to be involved in a robbery that took place last month in the Town of Moravia.
Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that on April 11, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a robbery on Fire Lane One in Moravia. The preliminary investigation found that the victim had been lured to this location where he was physically assaulted and his property was stolen from him.
The three suspects in the case are Trent Goodrich, 21, Brittany Ludwig, 32, and an unnamed juvenile male. Goodrich and Ludwig both reside on Wadsworth Road in Wolcott.
The juvenile was arrested on May 6 and appeared in the Youth Part Court of Cayuga County. He was released following the appearance.
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office obtained warrants for the arrests of Goodrich and Ludwig. On May 7, the Sherriff’s Office was contacted by law enforcement in Georgia who advised they had Goodrich in their custody on unrelated charges. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Goodrich will be extradited to Cayuga County at a later date.
Ludwig was taken into custody by the New York State Police in Wayne County on May 11 following an unrelated investigation there and was later turned over to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Ludwig was charged and processed on the warrant and appeared in the CAP Court, where she was remanded to the Cayuga County Jail pending a preliminary hearing.
The Sherriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the New York State Police, the Auburn Police Department and the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office.
