The New York Mets made some roster moves before Sunday’s series finale against the Seattle Mariners.
The team placed starting pitcher Tylor Megill on the 15-day injured list with right biceps inflammation and selected reliever Colin Holderman from Triple-A Syracuse. Reliever Trevor May was transferred to the 60-day injured list to clear roster space.
Megill is coming off his worst start of the season, in which he allowed eight runs over 1 1/3 innings in Washington. However, he was enjoying a breakout season with a 4-1 record and 2.43 ERA in six starts prior to his loss to the Nationals.
If Holderman appears in a game, it will be his Major League debut.
