JJ Peterka nets hat trick as Amerks take Game 2 from Comets in OT

JJ Peterka netted a hat trick as the Rochester Americans defeated the Utica Comets, 4-3, in overtime in Game 2 of the best-of-five North Division semifinal series on Saturday night at the Adirondack Bank Center.

Peterka scored the game-winner in overtime to give the Amerks the victory and tie the series at 1-1. Mark Jankowski also tallied in the win and Aaron Dell turned aside 16-of-19 shots.

A.J. Greer, Robbie Russo, and Brian Flynn were the goal scorers for Utica. Nico Daws stopped 25-of-29 shots.

Rochester finished 0-for-1 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.

Game 3 is set for Sunday at the Blue Cross Arena. The puck will drop at 5:05 p.m.
