Mental Health and Motorcycle Safety Awareness

May is also Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. We went over some of the basic tips for motorcyclists and those in cars.

There has been a sharp increase in DWI arrests by the Sheriff’s Department year to date. We discussed why that might be and agreed there’s been a definite increase in aggressive driving overall.


There have been a number of thefts from unlocked cars throughout the county in the past few months. The Sheriff reminded everyone to keep their cars and homes locked.

The Sheriff expressed his concern over the scheduled parole release from State Prison of an 88-year-old man convicted of murder.
