The Rochester Red Wings pushed their win streak to six games with a 6-2 victory over the Worcester Red Sox on Thursday night at Polar Park.
Rochester fell behind 2-0 in the first inning but after that the pitching was lights out and the offense pounded out six runs on 13 hits.
Tres Barrera lined a two-run home run over the left-field wall in the fifth to tie the game at two.
Donovan Casey put Rochester on top in the sixth with an RBI double to right.
The Red Wings added three more runs in the seventh to extend the lead to 6-2. Luis Garcia grounded one through the right side for an RBI single and Richard Urena hammered a two-run single to left.
Garcia, Urena, Lucius Fox, and Cole Freeman had two-hit games.
Logan Verrett got the start for Rochester and allowed a pair of runs on three hits over five innings while walking one and striking out six.
Francisco Perez and Andres Machado tossed a scorless inning in relief while Reed Garrett threw two.
The two teams will continue the six-game series on Friday night at 6:45 p.m.
