The New York Mets will be without starting catcher James McCann for the foreseeable future.

Catcher Patrick Mazeika was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse with McCann on the 10-day injured list.
McCann is hitting .196/.266/.286 through 21 games in the second season of a four-year deal with the Mets.
