Crunch fall to Rocket in Game 3

The Syracuse Crunch fell to the Laval Rocket, 4-1, in Game 3 of the best-of-five North Division Series on Thursday night at Place Bell Arena. Laval now leads the series, 2-1.

The game was tied 1-1 going into the third period but the Rocket scored three unanswered goals to secure the victory. Two of the goals came with an empty net.

Remi Elie scored Syracuse’s lone goal in the second period and Darren Raddysh picked up an assist. Max Lagace stopped 23-of-25 shots.


Danick Martel, Cedric Paquette, Jean Sebastien Dea, and Louie Belpedio tallied for the Rocket while Cayden Primeau made 22 saves.

Syracuse finished 0-for-2 on the power play and 5-for-7 on the penalty kill.

Game 4 of the series is set for Saturday at 3 p.m.
