The New York Mets made a roster move before Thursday’s series finale against the Washington Nationals.
The team recalled reliever Jake Reed from Triple-A Syracuse and optioned reliever Stephen Nogosek.
Reed has appeared in four games with Syracuse this season, posting a 7.94 ERA over 5.2 innings. He has not pitched in a game with the Mets this season.
Nogosek tossed three scoreless innings for New York on Wednesday. In seven games with Syracuse this season, he has a 1.69 ERA over 10.2 innings.
