Webster woman arrested for welfare fraud

Police arrested a Webster woman following a fraud investigation.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Paige M. Hirsh, 30, of Webster for grand larceny and welfare fraud.

Following a fraud complaint in the Town of Lyons, it is alleged that Hirsh did not report income that her boyfriend was receiving while living in the same household. As a result, she fraudulently received over $2000 in benefits that she was not entitled to.

Hirsh will appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date.
