The Chicago Resilient Communities Pilot is responsible for funding this Universal Basic Income program. $31 million has been set aside to assist the families that need it most. Read more about it here.
If you want a chance at the monthly payments, you will have to apply before the end of day Friday, May 13, 2022. If you have already sent in your application, there’s no need to worry.
In order to qualify:
- Be a resident living in the city of Chicago
- 18 or older
- Have experienced financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
- Have a household income at or below 250% of the federal poverty line
Eligible applicants will be placed into a lottery system. Only one person per household should apply.
