Generations Bank announces the promotion of Derek Dyson to Senior Vice President – Chief Information Officer. Dyson previously held the position of Vice President – Support Service Officer. In his new role, Dyson will oversee several departments including, technology services, marketing, compliance, security and facilities.
Dyson has been an integral part of the development and implementation of the innovative technology at Generations Bank, including mobile banking, remote check deposit, online deposit account opening, and interactive teller machines.
“Derek consistently proves himself to be a valuable team member. Many of our technology advancements over the past 10 years are because of Derek’s hard work and his knowledge of innovative banking technology,” said President & CEO, Menzo Case. “We’re fortunate to have him, not only because he’s a hard worker but because of his positive outlook and can-do attitude.”
Dyson joined the organization in 2011 as an intern and officially joined the team as AVP, Support Service Officer in 2012.

Dyson earned a bachelors degree in Financial Market Regulation with a double concentration in Informatics and Economics from the University of Albany.
Dyson was born and raised in Seneca Falls and is passionate about helping his local community. Currently, Dyson serves on the board for the United Way of Seneca County and serves on the board for the Right to Run 19K, Inc.
