Khalil Lee smoked an RBI double to right. Vientos followed that with a two-run single to center and Dini, Quinn Brodey, and Travis Blankenhorn each drove in a run with a single.

Lehigh Valley’s second run of the game came in the eighth when Dalton Guthrie hammered an RBI single to left.

Left-hander David Peterson got the start for the Mets and tossed five shutout innings and allowed four hits while walking three and striking out eight. Anthony Vizcaya, Alex Claudio, and Colin Holderman combined to allow four runs in relief.
