Police arrested a Geneva woman following a reported trespass complaint.

According to a news release, the Geneva Police Department arrested Heather M. Valder, 29, of Geneva for assault, endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, and failure to appear in court.

When officers arrived at the scene, it was learned that Valder was engaged in a physical altercation inside of the residence and assaulted another person. Additionally, a young child was present when the incident occurred. During the investigation, Valder fled the scene and further resisted officers when they attempted to place her into custody. It was also learned that Valder had a warrant out for her arrest.

Valder was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
