The hot starts to the seasons for the New York baseball clubs continued over the past few days. Although the Mets and Yankees continue to show the rest of the league why they are the best teams through the first month of the season, their noteworthy streaks were derailed on Wednesday. Paul Russo and Kyle Evans discuss the weekday series that the Mets endured against the Braves, where they didn’t win a series. The Blue Jays ended the Yankees 11-game winning streak last night as the Yankee offense went cold.
The AAA squads along the Thruway have also been in action, albeit to varying degrees. Both Rochester and Syracuse are home this week, and both have had to battle the elements to get games played. Rochester faces off against a couple of Yankees’ hot prospects this weekend. Syracuse is starting to find its footing in the International League East while they continue to take on Lehigh Valley.
