The Syracuse Mets fell to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 6-3, on Tuesday night at NBT Bank Stadium.
Thomas Szapucki got the start for Syracuse and allowed three runs on six hits over four innings while striking out four.
Lehigh Valley scored the first four runs of the game and led 4-0 after five.
Nick Plummer put Syracuse on the board in the sixth with a two-run shot to center.
The IronPigs added two more in the eighth to regain their four-run lead.
The Mets third run of the game came in the ninth after Carlos Cortes launched a sacrifice fly to center.
Syracuse will try to bounce back on Wednesday night. First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m.
