Rochester Red Wings blank SWB RailRiders

The Rochester Red Wings blanked the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, 2-0, on Tuesday night at Frontier Field.

Jefry Rodriguez got the start for Rochester and absolutely dominated. He tossed five shutout innings and allowed just three hits while striking out three.

The bullpen was just as good as Francisco Perez, Tyler Clippard, Jordan Weems and Carl Edwards Jr. combined for scoreless appearances.

The Red Wings first run of the game came in the first inning after Joey Meneses smoked a RBI double to right.

In the fourth, Nick Banks homered to center to make it 2-0.

Luis García had two of Rochester’s six hits.

The two teams will be right back at it on Wednesday morning at 11:05 a.m.
