A reception honoring the life of Dr. Judith L. Pipher, an internationally acclaimed astronomer and National Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee, will be held May 21, 2022 at the National Women’s Hall of Fame, 1 Canal St. in Seneca Falls, NY.
All are welcome to drop in any time between 1 and 4 p.m. Guests will be asked to share memories of Judy in an open forum throughout the event. Refreshments will also be served.
Dr. Pipher, a resident of Seneca Falls, died on Feb. 21, 2022 with family by her side.
Judy was a significant contributor to her community of Seneca Falls, NY, including serving on the Board of Directors of the National Women’s Hall of Fame, and serving as Officer and Board Member of the Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry, where for several years she coordinated the organization’s annual Gingerbread House program.
The women of the community will miss her contributions to such organizations as the Red Tent Book Club, Ladies Who Lunch, and the Lake to Lake Women.
Among all her highly celebrated accolades and contributions to the Seneca Falls community, Judy was a daughter, wife, sister, stepmother, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother.
