Police say a Dundee man was issued a criminal summons.
According to a news release, the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Joshua J. Roth, 31, of Dundee for harassment.
It is alleged that Roth, an inmate in the Yates County Jail, was charged after he sent messages to a village resident and threatened the recipient with bodily harm.
Roth will appear in the Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer charges.
