Naples man arrested for criminal contempt

Police say a Naples man was arrested after violating an order of protection.

According to a news release, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeremiah P. Mendez, 33, of Naples on a warrant in connection with prior allegations.

It is alleged that in July 2021, Mendez violated a duly served order of protection by contacting the protected individual. It is further alleged that Mendez was previously convicted of criminal contempt.

Mendez will respond to the charges at a later date.
