Deputies: One injured following propane tanker truck crash

Police say a Marion man was injured following a vehicle crash.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle crash in the Town of Lyons involving a propane tanker truck, injuring the operator.

Deputies say that Bradley Swartele, 40, of Marion was operating a propane delivery truck and attempted to make a right hand turn when his rear axle detached from the vehicle. Swartele was able to safely stop his vehicle, preventing any spillage. The investigation of the crash is still ongoing.

Deputies were assisted on scene by the Lyons Fire Department and the Lyons Ambulance.
