New York Yankees outfielder Joey Gallo left Saturday’s game with left groin tightness.
Manager Aaron Boone told reporters Sunday morning that Gallo is considered day-to-day. He went through agility drills on the field in front of team trainers prior to Sunday’s game and is getting treatment for the injury.
Gallo suffered the injury attempting to steal second base.
Gallo has really struggled this season, but had been swinging a hotter bat as of late. Despite hitting just .180 on the season, he is six for his last 20 (.300), including two hits before leaving Saturday’s game.
