The New York Mets made a roster move prior to Sunday’s series finale against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The team placed RHP Sean Reid-Foley on the 10-day injured list with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow, which could require season-ending Tommy John surgery. RHP Yoan López was recalled from the Syracuse Mets.
Reid-Foley left Saturday night’s loss to the Phillies with elbow discomfort. He posted a 5.40 ERA and 1.40 WHIP over 10 innings this season.
López has allowed one run over two innings with the Mets this season.
