Stimulus: These ten states are paying residents checks worth up to $850

Inflation has burdened millions of Americans this year, and in response, many states are offering stimulus checks to their residents.

Many of the payments are rebates or stimulus programs and pay hundreds of dollars.

The checks aren’t as high as the federal stimulus payments, but they’ll help offset rising costs for many.


Here are 10 states giving out stimulus payments with rebate and cash programs

3.1 residents in Colorado will see $400 for single filers and $800 for joint filers.

To qualify you need to live there full time and file tax returns by May 31.

Payments will go out in August or September.

600,000 Delaware residents will see between $300 and $600 depending on their filing status.

Georgia is giving payments of $250 to single filers, $375 to head of household filers, and $500 to joint filers.

Idaho residents will see a tax rebate of $75 or 12% of their 2020 state taxes.


Gas Prices: Walmart will give gas discount of $0.10 per gallon

Indiana residents will get payments of $125 for single filers and $250 for joint filers.

Illinois residents are seeing stimulus payments of $400 this year.

Maine residents are getting bigger payments of $850 thanks to a budget surplus worth $1.2 billion dollars.

New Jersey residents could see as much as $500 if they claim at least one dependent and have income of $1-$75,000.


New Mexico is giving a stimulus payment worth $250-$500 to residents as well as a child tax credit worth $25-$75 per child.

Finally, there is a federal energy rebate payment proposal that could pass.

This is the Gas Rebate Act of 2022 and would send $100 to single filers and start phasing out as income increases past $75,000 for singles and $150,000 for married filers.
