During the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial, Heard’s lawyers take a particular interest in who purchased muffins.

Spectators are comparing Wednesdays trial to a scene from the iconic children’s movie Shrek.

Dr. Shannon Curry is a licensed forensic and clinical psychologist in California and Hawaii.

Dr. Curry was hired by Johnny Depp’s legal team to evaluate Heard.

She took the stand on April 26th as an expert witness.

This testimony did not go nearly as planned.

Heard’s lawyers claimed that Dr. Curry had broken Dr. patient confidentiality.

She did this by referencing the muffins she had brought to her meeting with Amber Heard.

The questioning about the muffins got so bizarre at one point Dr. Curry said she wanted to “stop talking about the muffins”.

This happened only for Heard’s lawyers to step away for a second and come back and continue asking questions related to the muffins.

Dr. Curry’s husband was the one who purchased them for her that morning because she was running late.

She then brought the muffins to the office and shared them with Heard.

Dr. Curry had mentioned to Heard that her husband had purchased the treats that morning.

Heard’s lawyers used that information to attempt to prove that Dr. Curry broke the confidentiality rule.

They say she did this by telling her husband who her client was going to be that day.

Dr. Curry testified that this was not true and after several questions regarding the muffins they were all finally able to move on.
