Long Acre Farms hosting Annual Rescue Round Up on May 21

Long Acre Farms is hosting their Annual Rescue Round Up on Saturday, May 21st, giving local shelters and rescues the opportunity to educate visitors about volunteering, fostering and adoption. And of course there will be furry friends to meet at the farm! Our goal each year is to draw attention to the benefits and rewards of working with these wonderful organizations.

“Hopefully there will come a time when we will no longer need to hold this event – but until that time comes I think it’s so important to educate the public about all the needs these shelters have,” states Terri Goebel, Manager at Long Acre Farms. “This year we are also asking each rescue to share their wish list so that we can collect donations on their behalf. Anything helps!”

The event begins at 10am and runs until 1pm.   If you are currently fostering or have adopted your fur-ever friend, we would love for you to come out and share your experience.  Here is a list of this year’s participants: Brindle Posse, Joyful Rescues, Roc the Dogs Rescue, Pet Pride, Happy Trails, Alasa Farms (CrackerBox Palace), Rescue Pit, Habitat for Cats and Wayne County Humane Society.
