The American Automobile Association (AAA) says it’s time to book your Memorial Day travel plans if you haven’t done so yet.
Travel booking data from AAA shows reservations for flights, hotels, rental cars and cruises are up 122% compared to last year, according to CNY Central. The best time to book your flight is roughly two weeks before Memorial Day when the average price is $445 per ticket.
AAA said those who wait until the week of Memorial Day to book their flight will end up paying nearly double, with an average price of $845 per ticket. The cheapest day to fly is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
