Local organizations have launched a new program to help expectant mothers in the Finger Lakes region.
The “Kitchen Stork” program will provide up to 50 expectant mothers with food and virtual cooking classes during their pregnancy and postpartum, according to WETM. The program includes a starter kit with pots, pans, utensils, oil and spices.
Organizations involved in the program include Finger Lakes Provider System, Meals on Wheels, the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Developmental Services, Inc. and Arnot Health.
Program referrals will come from Arnot Health.
