Motor vehicle collision in Macedon leaves one person injured

Police reported a personal injury motor vehicle collision in Macedon on Saturday afternoon.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident at the intersection of State Route 31 and Beebe Road in Macedon. 


An investigation into the crash revealed that Anthony Prosser was operating a vehicle headed west while preparing to make a left hand turn onto Beebe Road. Another westbound vehicle being driven by Austin Lauk-Vanbortel failed to slow down and collided with Prosser’s vehicle. The collision caused a knee injury to Prosser’s passenger who was transported to Rochester General Hospital.

Deputies were assisted by Macedon Town Ambulance along with the Macedon Center and South Macedon Fire Departments.
